Magazine ‘Deep Focus’
Deep focus is a photographic and cinematographic technique using a large depth of field. In deep focus, the foreground, middle ground, and background are all in focus. Also, it symbolizes not only focusing on the brief review about specific director’s movies, but also different people’s interpretation of the meaning of the movies and easter eggs inside them.
In this issue, we delve into the life of Miyazaki Hayao, the co-founder of Studio Ghibli and a renowned film director. Feature spreads will cover his early years, his friendship with Takahata Isao, the establishment of Studio Ghibli, and the journey leading up to his latest work, "The Boy and the Heron." Department spreads will explore his directorial style and distinctive features showcased in his films.
